Benefit Festival for Amber's Peanut Dog

FaceBook Live, anywhere

I'll play a set at 3 PM PDT/6 PM PDT at this Facebook Live Benefit Festival, held wherever you have internet access! Please remember to "spring forward" the night before if you're in a timezone that observes daylight savings time. Folk musicians from around the country will perform music via Facebook Live on Sunday, March 10 for Amber's Peanut Dog Facebook Live Benefit Festival. Contribute ANY TIME starting NOW and during the show at https://www.paypal.me/ambersdog

The festival is a benefit event for Amber Rogers-Clark, a musician from Kansas and fellow "banjo babe" alumna, who developed a life-threatening peanut allergy as a result of a tick bite a couple years ago. She's now extremely sensitive to peanut residue. She has been unable to go in public, much less perform music or keep her job in education, without risk of serious reactions. She has had multiple hospitalizations and is desperate for relief from the constant fear of lingering, unseeable peanut residue. Amber's team has determined that the only way for her to experience normal life again is to have a pooch that can sniff out any trace peanut particles ahead of her. She is working with a dog trainer and hopes to get her dog in the next few months! The cost of such a highly-trained dog is not cheap: $15,000. Amber and her team have raised about $9,000. In this virtual festival, the musicians are performing on Facebook Live for free - all we ask is that you send a few dollars to Amber's PayPal to help Amber get her peanut dog.

We have chosen to do this event via Facebook for several reasons:
1. Amber can't leave the house, so this way she can attend safely.
2. Amber has friends across the country, so this way they can all attend.
3. Amber has musician friends across the country, so this way they can donate their time to help her without the extra expense of driving to Kansas.
4. Amber is a musician, so it seemed fitting to have a musical event in her honor! Enjoy LIVE performances from these artists who are based around the country!
